Van

A van is a trailer that has solid walls in order to protect its cargo, making it a popular choice with the transport industry for transporting goods, requiring high security.

A van trailer, also known as a "box trailer"  or even "box van trailer" is the generic name for a solid-walled type of trailer that is not refrigerated. When the box van trailer is temperature controlled it is known as a refrigerated trailer.

It is one of the haulage industry’s most popular types of trailer and is used to carry a variety of different types of goods from parcels to retail goods, where superior body strength and higher security is required. It offers more protection for this than, for example, a curtainsider trailer. They are typically loaded / un-loaded via its rear doors, either at a loading dock or by using a tail-lift at the delivery location.

In addition to standard box trailers, we also have various box trailers in our fleet with special options to provide aerodynamic benefits such as fuel and carbon dioxide savings. Among these special options we have box vans with city dimensions, single deck trailers and double deck trailers, ready-made trailers, ferry specification, etc.

Note: Are you looking for a specific van trailer? Contact us. Due to our large fleet, we have different types of van trailers in our range to meet your requirements.

TIP offers box trailers on a short-term rental or a long term lease basis from all of the leading manufacturers and others. Please note, the available trailers may differ per location. Ask for availability in advance.
